About The Learning Curve
The Learning Curve Podcast is awesome. We are a young show aimed at sharing the stories of awesome women working and living in the MENA (Middle East & North Africa). We share their business stories and find out about how they achieve their goals and what kept them going. We find out what has inspired them and where their business ideas come from. \
The women of the MENA are strong, vibrant entrepreneurial women who have a strong belief system that they can achieve success in their work. Nicholla has lived and worked in this region all her life and she's met and worked with some talented ladies who don't see walls, barriers and red tape. They see opportunity, possibilities and outcomes. They too have this innate energy to be the best they can be and make their dreams come true. Would you like to hear from these women? Would you like to be helped along your own entrepreneurial path or dream? Well you can be inspired with these podcasts. These women open up and will help your path to success. Listen now. The Style of the Show
Nicholla's style really is a sit down chat where women sit together and do what they do best and that is 'chat'. Through a Q&A format we discover our guests drivers, fears, actions and liberations. This isn't a drilling session, this is a conversation about them. Many of us are fearful of 'blowing our own trumpet' but really who really is best at talking about themselves? Lets talks, lets learn and lets be inspired.
All conversations are uploaded on to Libsyn, SoundCloud, and ITunes so you can like, share, comment and download to listen at your leisure. About Nicholla
![]() Nicholla has been an expat all her life. She was, (what we are often referred to as)’ ‘a third culture child’ and now a third culture adult. She knows what it’s like to be an expat and has helped and shared lots of tips and guidance to expats that are planning to be expats or have joined their host city. Her keen interest in business start-up, social media, business support and podcasting has been brought together under ‘The Learning curve podcast’ so she can connect with and share the stories of women entrepreneurs from the region with those around the globe. Women entrepreneurs in the region are an eclectic bunch with a sense of adventure yet a strong ambition to have our businesses and follow through with our entrepreneurial bug.
Nicholla started her podcast career in radio back in 2011. She hosted a radio show in Muscat, Oman on Merge 104.8 called 'Mums on Monday' which was a weekly morning show covering mother and child related topics for Muscat. Nicholla left the show in the summer 2013 because she was moving back to the United Arab Emirates with her husband's job. Nicholla now continues the work she started and continues to be a voice in the community. She loves connecting with successful and motivational people and find out more about their successes, achievements and their challenges. She says, 'Doing podcasting allows me to share my conversations with the community. As an expat we are always looking for help with answers and this is our way of connecting with like minded individuals. There is something to be said about the power of the human voice and how it can convey a much stronger message than the written word. I just love it’.
